Your Guide To Non-Surgical Anti-Ageing Treatments

It is something that everyone has to deal with, and it is something that few people are happy about. Of course, the topic is aging.

The aging process can bring beauty with it but for many, the appearance of wrinkles on the skin, as well as dull skin and open pores, can cause immense frustration. It can also cause people to spend a fortune on creams and oils, which may have a minimal effect even on the higher end.

There is the option for non-surgical treatments, which show no signs of stopping and are becoming a common way to tackle or manage the aging process.

As there are so many non-surgical anti-aging treatments to choose from, this article will guide you through the most popular ones going into 2025. Enjoy!

Botox

Botox injections or botulinum toxin injections are still top of the list! Many people opt for these as they help reduce wrinkles’ appearance, whilst also preventing new wrinkles from forming.

The injection under the skin paralyzes the nerve temporarily, so you will not be able to move the area, causing the skin on top to become smoother. It’s simple, it’s effective and it can be redone every 6 months if needed.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are also injectables, wherein hyaluronic acid is injected under the skin to fill out the wrinkles. The process is ideal for minimizing the appearance of bags under the eyes, crow’s feet, smile lines, and forehead lines. You can have dermal filler top-ups every 3-6 months, and the process can usually be completed in around 30 minutes, with no downtime.

Microneedling

Microneedling involves micro needles (hence the name!) being rolled across the skin to create small puncture points. This, in turn, causes the skin to create collagen, which will smooth wrinkles and cause the dead layers of skin to be removed.

In many cases, you can have hyaluronic acid applied to the skin and then have the microneedling done, pushing the acid to the skin’s subsurface. You can have this performed at a spa, but there are at-home options to try out, too. One of which is the microneedling roller and another is a microneedling pen, which speeds up the process and makes it easier.

It can be a bit sore, so if you are having it performed at a clinic, you may want to ask for a numbing gel.

Chemical Peels

Much like microneedling, you can have chemical peels performed at home, but many people opt to have their first peel performed by professionals.

It is similar to a face mask, in that there is a liquid applied to the skin which is left on for a set period of time. The peel then removes the top layer of skin, taking away any dead skin cells, dry skin, and even small wrinkles.

This can be sore and, much like microneedling, you can ask for a numbing agent beforehand. The end result is smoother skin, with fewer wrinkles and less open pores.
